Miss Licksalot
It seems as though Sydney is licking everything! It doesn't matter what it is, if she can get it close to her mouth, it is going to be tasted. Really grosses me out, but, what can ya do?

Chris a.k.a "Puff Daddy"
Sydney enjoyed a snack with Daddy on Sunday afternoon. She LOVES her Puffs! Chris put the puffs in a small bowl and Sydney helped herself. She doesn't have any teeth yet, so Puffs are about the only finger food that we are trying at this point. As the bowl emptied, he would add more puffs. This was just one of those moments that make you smile. (Don't you just love her tie-dyed t-shirt? Her Aunt Dee got this for her.)

Take It All
"All the promises I've broken, All the times I've let you down, You've forgot them, But I still hold on to the pain that makes me drown. Now I'm ready to let it go, To give it away.
Take it all, 'cause I can't take it any longer
All I have, I can't make it on my own
Take the first, take the last
Take the good, and take the rest
Here I am, all I have, take it all.
All the roads that lie before me, All the struggles I go through, Every second I'm reminded, that it all belongs to you. Now I'm ready to let it go, to give it away, ever since I died to myself, You gave a better life to me, I give you my finest moment, I give you the last breath I breathe."
Third Day, Revelation
I am proud to admit that I am a Third Day fan. The last CD they released has got to be my favorite, only second to the Worship albums. This collection of songs give hope, encouragement, and redirection to a people struggling with keeping their focus on Jesus and not this decaying world. There are some days when we do not feel like Super Christians ready to save the day and then there are those days when we are pumped up, fired up, and ready to tell everyone we know about our Savior. This CD will help redirect your thoughts and reposition your motives and know that everyday truly is sweeter with Jesus.

Deliverance from Desertion
There are times in our lives when emotional baggage begins to weigh us down to the point that we must address it. Have you ever had a close, treasured relationship slip through your fingers? Have you ever known someone who promised to never let you down, no matter what? Have you ever contemplated locking your heart up as to protect it from anyone ever having access to it again? How do people who are the closest of friends go completely different directions? How does that happen?
I have been praying about answers to these questions, and I sincerely believe the Lord has shown me hope through His Word.
Joshua 1:5 "I will never leave you. I will never forsake you." The word "forsake" means to "desert." To desert someone means to cut them out of your life, leave them high and dry, completely forget about them, and to live your life as if they do not exist. I have to be honest with you and say I sometimes feel that way. Remember, you can only desert someone if you had a relationship to begin with. No matter what, God will never leave me. Friends and family may leave me, but GOD never will. If anyone understands what it feels like to be deserted, it is Jesus.
During his time of greatest need, his so-called "friends" left him.
Aren't you glad you can talk to God about anything and he "feels our pain" because he endured our pain while here on Earth? That's why He came, so he could relate to us and die for us.
I will no longer feel disappointed and deserted, because my relationships with people (although they can provide great joy) do not provide EVERLASTING peace and are not tied to my eternal relationship with God. Only my relationship with God provides me with what I need to live. In HIM, I live, move, and have being. No more will I be hung up on yesterday and what could have been. No more tears will I cry over relationships that were once so strong, but now are gone. No more asking myself, "What did I do wrong?" I will move forward with the Lord and know that HE knows exactly what I am feeling and will restore me in all areas.
Psalm 62:8 - "Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge."

Almost 8 months
Next week, Sydney will be 8 months old. It's HARD to believe, but true. I now understand all of the people's comments: "Treasure these moments, it will go by in a flash." "She'll be driving before you know it." "Hold her as much as you can because soon she will be too big to hold."
Yep, time is a flying, but life with Syd is getting more exciting. Latest accomplishments:
She can walk behind a push toy and squeals uncontrollably. The toy was a great find at the JBF sale in Conroe. BRAND NEW and I got it for $7.
If you say, "Kissy, kissy" to her she will lean into your cheek, open and her mouth, and do the "blowfish" kisses. It is the most adorable thing ever.
Syd will sing along with me when I play piano. She even "sings" on key.
Sydney gets very excited when sees a familiar face. At church yesterday, she saw my mom and dad on the row behind us and tried to jump out of my arms to go see them.
When she is frustrated, she will shake her head, close her eyes, and make a sound that I can only compare with a horse snuffle. Hilarious.
She can say, "Beep, beep", "hunya" and her most clearly spoken word is "hi!" She tells EVERYBODY "hi." Even the little old lady in the restroom at JoAnn's Fabrics got a big "hi" when she walked in.
She recognizes herself in the mirror and flirts with her reflection. She keeps us on our toes, laughing, and smiling.
